Back in Business and There is a Ton of Catching Up to Do. . .

Cupcake Birthday Party!

We had a wonderful 1st birthday party for our HDQ (Heidi Drama Queen).  Some close friends and family were able to make it out to celebrate and enjoy the perfect day of bounce houses, hamburgers, hot dogs, and cupcakes.  Scott's parents came down for the event too!
We did have some extra time with Grandma and Grandpa, so we took them to the Ventura Harbor and went to Andrea's and then to the Horsey ride at the Arcade.  It was fun for all.

Holly had spotted the 'Zebra' before we were ever let through the gates!

Tea Time with Grandma!

Homemade Cupcakes and I made the topper decorations as well.

I saw this idea online and made Heidi her own "Happy Birthday" banner.

Holly and Taylor having a Tutu blast in the bounce house! Holly loved that it was Heidi's B-day!

Yummo, it is SUGAR!

Holly Getting Her First Library Card!
Yes, we finally broke down and we all got library cards.  Camarillo has a wonderful and NEW library, so we have finally started to take advantage of that resource.  Holly loaded up on the Berinstain Bear books for bedtime reading.

Holly filling out her form for her library card - at least that is what I wanted her to pretend to do.

Holly now a proud owner of a library card!  She was moving towards the children's section so fast, I barely got a chance to get this on film.

Underwood Farms - Somis, CA

Our neighbor, Katherine and I took the girls to see the goats, chickens, and Alpaca at the small satellite farm of Underwood Farms.  Holly and Heidi both loved feeding the animals and the sand box on site was a hit.  Holly loved the fresh strawberries and Kettle Corn!

This was the first time Heidi was in a sand box.  She was very unsure of the texture.

Now she has got the hang of it!

Holly enjoying a freshly picked strawberry!

That was a fun morning outing for all!
